For international students another key requirement is being able to prove your English language proficiency. All American universities accept the TOEFL exam and most now accept IELTS and PTE also. There are two standardized tests which are used to evaluate students’ preparedness for university-level studies, these are the SAT and the ACT. To be competitive, California Institute of Technology applicants should aim for an SAT 1 Critical Reading section score range of 730 – 800 and a Math section score range of 770 – 800. With the ACT, students accepted to California Institute of Technology generally score within a range of 34 – 35.

Tuition and Fees

California Institute of Technology requires a non-refundable fee of $75 to submit your application. An application fee waiver may be available for students who can demonstrate a financial need.
